III Deaths

I don't believe in much of anything

But I've noticed a recurring pattern in my life

Death always comes in 3's

First my sister

Then Shaula's grand dad

...who's next?

On the Gov't (and Society)

Don't trust them

That's it. Simple and plain.  Usually people in power, no matter how much "change" they say they're going to bring, will fuck you over some way.  You can't win everyone over.  That's why I don't vote, because your vote really doesn't matter.  The majority of the public are morons and you must remember that America is awash with idiocy.  So why don't I go out and rally?  Because I could honestly give a shit.  No one's into listening to a "revolutionary" anymore.  Revolutionaries are saved for reality TV with dramatic scores by John Williams whose images will make their way onto t-shirts made by Fruit of the Loom and have rallies sponsored by Pepsi and Hollister Co. with catering provided by McDonald's "healthy" choice menu.  It's a bunch of bullshit, whether you're an over-privileged, rich white suburbanite or a poor black hispanic from a family of 25 who live in the Barrio don't believe the hype.  I don't know what the fucking point of this thing was anymore.  I think it was just an excuse to rant about the "powers that be" and "rebelling against the man."  Ooooh, what do the quotation marks mean? Is he trying to be sarcastic and plow through the government's wall of lies with his sledge hammer of righteous indignation? Could he be the next revolutionary who will help take us bring us out of the financial and strife-ridden abyss that is our nation??

Quite honestly I'd rather be eating Lay's potato chips and drink Jim Beam with my 2 double cheeseburgers from McDonald's and scarf down a gallon of Pepsi and 4 Hershey's bars.

Fuck the system and all of us whores and whores-in-training who are destined to feed off the gov't teat and suck off the corporate dick.

We're whores; ALL OF US. So don't think you're any different or special from anyone else

As Tyler Durden put it: "You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake, we are all the part of the same compost heap."

In Death - Is Death; In Death - Is Life

It's amazing what the death of one person can do.  It can incite sympathy, empathy even pity for those who have lost.  Even if one person hates the other with a passion unsurpassed by any other type of emotion, the death of a loved one destroys it with a mighty stroke of pain, even if it's just for a moments or hours.  Considering that it's one of the most feared and least understood parts of any living organism, death for human beings can be a very powerful bonding and healing tool.  It wipes away all the bullshit that we put up in between us as people and let's us open up and bond with people we've never wanted to or imagined bonding with, let alone being in the same room without tearing each other apart.

Today, I witnessed my mother, my father and his ex-wife grieving over my half sister's very recent passing.  It was a very horrible and tragic thing to witness; the aftermath of someone's passing.  I was never close with my half sister because of the bullshit our respective families put between each other, but when I saw her laying on her bed I couldn't help but feel moved and, in my own way, hurt.  I wasn't hurt because she was gone but because I was empathetic towards her sister, mother, brother and especially my father.  In that moment I was able to put aside all the hatred and spite towards my dad's ex-wife and I genuinely apologized, shook her hand and hugged her, only hoping to console her in the only way someone you hate can.  Even my mother was able to give console to her and she's not exactly on her good side.

My point is this: Life sucks and it's full of stupid shit that we concern ourselves with.
You can choose to become an architect of bullshit and build around yourself
or
You can choose to be a "shit-kicker" and enjoy the time you and your close ones have on this dirty blue ball floating around in space.

It's your choice and your life.

Rapidshare < Shit

Seriously. Why do people insist on uploading ANYTHING on this piece of crap?  If you're a free user you have to wait 90 seconds just to get to the download page and then it has the slowest download rate I've ever seen on anything.  Drumkit From Hell downloaded and installed faster into my computer than Rapidshare files download, and DFH has over 1GB of shit to unload.

Why I Think the Word "Nigger" Should Be Said Freely

Ok, now before you start calling me a racist, faggot, asshole, motherfucker, goat fucker or any other type of -fucker take some time to breathe....there you go....now, let's carry on..

I can't really remember the first time I heard of the word nigger but I knew that is had negative connotations. It's been used for years as a racial slur for Blacks (or African-Americans for the PC-conscious) and that it should never be said EVER. Now I don't wholeheartedly believe this to be the best way to go about handling a WORD. Because that's really what it is after all; a word. What is it about a word that gives it so much hate, taboo nature and shock that people would go out of their way to avoid it and feel uncomfortable to even THINK about that word? It's an interesting and, for me, funny word nigger. Let's take a look at how it is actually defined in the dictionary.

Function: noun
Etymology: alteration of earlier neger, from Middle French negre, from Spanish or Portuguese negro, from negro black, from Latin niger
Date: 1786
1 usually offensive; see usage paragraph below : a black person
2 usually offensive; see usage paragraph below : a member of any dark-skinned race
3 : a member of a socially disadvantaged class of persons s…all the people who feel left out of the political process — Ron Dellums> Source

Now out of these 3 definitions all of them are true to usage. While I don't agree with the first two I can agree with the third definition. A Nigger to me really is a member of a socially disadvantaged class of persons or as I like to call them:

IDIOTS

For me the true definition of the word Nigger is someone who is a fucking moron. A socially ignorant person of society that needs a hole in their head to let the air out. Living in Laredo, Texas by the border I've run into hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of niggers in my 10 years of walking around in society on my own. The majority of them are stupid fucking Mexicans who come from our neighboring city Nuevo Laredo, but that's another potentially-racist story for another day. A Nigger doesn't have to be a black person or a brown person; there are TONS of white Niggers in American society. Take a look at the majority of people who belong to the Fundamentalist Christian pantheon. This group of thought has to attract some of the dumbest fuckers existence has to offer: Narrow minded, bigoted, pretentious and sorry excuses for people I've ever seen. It's not just religious trains of thought that attract Niggers. You've got Nationalism, Fascism, Extreme Right/Leftists, Nazism, and even Staunch Atheism that attracts all kinds of fools. Not one group is excluded from being guilty of harboring these types of people. That to me is the true, living definition of the word Nigger and how I think it should be used.

"Now hold on a second, buddy. What you're saying here is pretty heavy stuff. I think the word Nigger is a horrible word that has been used against African Americans for hundreds of years and I'd be glad to see that word erased from the annals of human language!"

And you're absolutely right imaginary person I made up for the sake of argument but who probably exists out there. But it all depends on the CONTEXT of how you're using that word. I don't have a problem with racism because it doesn't affect me personally and I don't base my judgments of people on the color of their skin and I KNOW that not everyone thinks the way I do. I'll use Chappelle Show as an example. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past 7 years, Chappelle Show was a comedy sketch show created by comedian Dave Chappelle and writer Neil Brennan that ran from about 2004 to I think 2007 or '08 that poked fun at various social issues, one of the biggest ones being race and racism. When the word Nigger was used freely on the show it surprised me because it seemed as if the censors had somehow missed this. After awhile you started seeing other shows, such as The Boondocks on Adult Swim using the word gratuitously and uncensored. Needless to say it kind of desensitized the world to the word Nigger and helped alleviate some of the sting that was associated with that word.

Now I'm sure some people will disagree with me and that's fine but to me the word Nigger doesn't really imply racism anymore, or at least not like used to. Society has made the word a little more acceptable which really is a double-edged sword in itself. The thing I find the most ridiculous is that some black people claim that nobody except blacks can use the word amongst themselves because it's seen as a term of endearment. You can't have your cake and eat it to. That's their argument but there is a huge difference that I think most people can agree on.

NiggA: a term of endearment used amongst young people, mainly blacks, as in "brother" or "dude."

NiggER: a retarded, ignorant motherfucker that usually refers to blacks in a derogatory and racist fashion.

Now what the hell is the point of this blog...you can take whatever you'd like from this blog and do whatever you'd wish to do with it. People will always use this word and other words deemed wrong any way that they choose. One thing that everyone must remember is:

I Learned a Valuable Lesson Last Night

Don't EVER judge a book, or in this case a series of books, by it's cover. This band last night, Lust for God, was FUCKING brutal. They had 7 members, and 3 of them were guitarists. Now I had heard of Iron Maiden doing that and recently White Chapel, but fuck all that. I thought they were going to be some lame metalcore band but they proved me and the rest of BYHITS (my band) WRONG. They were this grooved out Acacia Strain/Meshuggah/Brujeria band from Nuevo Laredo, and to top things off they were all real chilled guys; none of them were mamons. I can't for the life of me find a Myspace page so I can show all of you but damn...they gave me chills when they started out. I hadn't had a local band do that to me since Die Young played in Laredo in 2006, and they weren't even a local band.

Moral of the Story: Don't ever judge a book by it's cover.

Creating Music in My Sleep??

This has been happening to me on and off for about 3 years or so. When I go to bed I'll enter, what I assume is, REM then wake up randomly and hear an unwritten symphony or piece of music in my head. I can hear ALL of the parts being played simultaneously. I'm pretty positive I've never heard any of this music before in my life, whether from when I was younger or sitting in a room with the TV/radio on for background noise. I didn't start listening to classical music until I was about 14.

I've tried researching this on Google but I keep getting some shitty band who's song is called "Singing In My Sleep" or some shit. If anyone knows what this is called please get back to me ASAP. I'd like to research it as much as possible and be able to utilize it because I've had alot of good music that I could have written pass me by in my sleep. Thanks alot

Holy Shit! Steve From Blue's Clues Music Album

So All This New "Heavy" Music That's Been Coming Out...

I can dig it. The majority of it is pretty brutal and atonal. The heavy parts are fucking massive, the fast parts and phenomenally fast and the technical riffs/solos are moving and tight like a tiger (heh)...but it's mostly background noise now. Maybe it's just the record effect, but most of these bands nowadays are all really starting to either sound the same or become extreme background noise. Maybe my musical taste is just changing or, trying not to sound like a pretentious prick, maybe it's maturing. I've gotten past the whole "HEAVY IS THE SHIT!! FUCK YEA!" phase in my musical journey. Granted, I still do appreciate it and love it as much as I did but now I'm more about mixing things and musical maturity and sophistication (AKA mixing in jazz fusion parts after a mathcore riff in 19/16, that only an ass like me would get), which some people here in this town don't seem to understand or appreciate. Sometimes I wish I grew up somewhere else. Hopefully I'll be able to move to Austin and attend UT like I'm planning on doing. Ehh that's enough. With that said go check out the new Despised Icon album "Day of Mourning." It's chock-full of extreme background noise. Still enjoyable though :]

With the current weather here in Laredo

I've come to really fall in love with Reggae/Dub music. There's something about the mood it sets with the way the rain falls down on your windshield and the wipers move rhythmically* to the skank of the guitar and organ. I'm currently on the lookout for more Reggae and/or Dub artists and bands so I'll be updating this blog with more of that for the time being. If you know of any good artists that I'm missing on this blog let me know!
